HANDMADE TEXAS RUM_™

Distillery tours by appointment only.  To schedule a tour, please send an email to tours@railean.com or contact the distillery directly at (713) 545-2742.  Be warned this is a working distillery and the facility is not air conditioned.  

You will meet the founders of Railean Distillers and they will explain how they got into the rum businness and how RAILEAN rum is made.  Included is a discussion on sugarcane and the fermentation process, distillation theory and operation of the still, dark versus white rum, barrel aging and the bottling process.  Most likley the still will be running and you will have a chance to meet the master distiller.

Directions to the Eagle Point Distillery.
If you are heading south on Hwy 146 or I45. Take Hwy 646 East (Grand Avenue through Bacliff) until it dead ends into Galveston Bay. Turn Right on Bayshore Drive (This is still Hwy 646) and go south for approximately 4 miles.  When you come to a 4 way stop (Waynos on your right and US post office on your left) keep going straight thru the stop sign and turn right onto 5th street.  This road deadends into Avenue D and the Distillery is on your left.    

If you are heading north on Hwy 146 or I45. Take Hwy. 517 East (through San Leon) until you hit a 4 way stop.  Turn left (this is still Hwy 517).  Go to the next stop sign (Waynos on your left), this is the corner of Bayshore Drive and Hwy 517 (9th street), turn right onto Bayshore Drive.  Turn right onto 5th street.  This road deadends into Avenue D and the Distillery is on your left.
